Relative to Persistence, here’s a movie trailer for a soon to be released film, regarding a recent Saint who fully embodies this trait, St Peter the Aleut:

Excellent and edifying prose, as always Sister.

And to your point, when He grants us the ability to discern evil, via the demons, it is imperative that we respond. We simply must see the evil for what it is, and to resist, as you’ve illustrated. Sometimes my response is to simply chuckle at the demons once there is recognition of their foiled effort. Ignoring or ridiculing evil repels them immediately.

Now, when I’m feeling comfortable or fully satiated, I begin to get anxious. What have I missed, because the attack continues…

Glory be to God…!

Sister, what is the best way to contact you to correspond? I have tried Macarius’ monastery email and the contact form-neither seem to work.

Thank you!

Try sisteranastasia@substack.com. That should work or reply to the emailed newsletter itself. I am sorry about that. I am not sure what happened. Thank you.

Sometimes I think grace hides in boring places.

The landscape with nothing special.

The dusty corner of a room.

Where no one’s looking.
